| was inspired by miles and miles of hiking the scenic deserts of Utah. From 1986 to present, Laurie traveled from Boulder, Colorado, to Utah once or twice a year. She has explored Needles (by far |
her favorite), White Rim Trail and Island in the Sky in Canyonlands National Park and surrounding areas of Moab. Other areas that influenced her compositions include Arches National Park, Grand Gulch primitive area, Capital Reef, Horse Thief Canyon, Goblin Valley, Bryce Canyon and Zion. She has performed in venues in Salt Lake City and in St. George at "Concerts Under the Stars."
"I can not think of words to describe the rapture and solitude I have experienced in those deserts. I wanted to memorialize the place that has given so much to my spiritual growth thus the CD Utah Dream." |

"Utah is one of the most beautiful spots on the earth I've seen. I rarely feel such serenity as when I hike, bike, drive or just sit quietly in that magical country. I pray to dream of it more often and become more peaceful being with all."
The CD “Utah Dream” demonstrates a wide influence of accumulated tastes through Dameron's life including folk, rock, spiritual, blues, country, funk and jazz. This multi-talented artist has surprised many in the music scene with a powerful first CD.

"Laurie Dameron was one of the first musicians that I met in Colorado and she has certainly been the best female guitarist and and songwriter I have heard in a really long time. I wish I would have met Laurie a few years ago. She would have made a great addition to Gearl Jam."
